Well, I had just finished supper and went outside to return the trash can to the back porch (it was trash pick up day) and to my surprise I found a box on the front porch. It was a nice 3 shelf bookcase (box) BUT I didn't remember ordering it, which was the odd part. It's not surprising though as I seem to be losing more of my memory these days. If anyone finds it please forward it to me. So, I hoisted the box and headed for the shop. Upon opening the box, I though what a strange looking bookcase. The boards were only about 1/4" thick so this has to be for some very "light" reading ![]() Then I saw the business card .... DICKEY GUITARS ..... and a smile quickly came to my face as I recalled what the rather thin planks are really meant for. Upon close examination, my smile quickly broadened, as I beheld some of the prettiest Pomelle Sapele I had ever held. Long story short, give Bruce a call or drop him an email if you are in the market for some exceptionally nice Pomelle Sapele. Wood this nice won't last too long! Thanks again Bruce! |

Hey Tim, glad it made it. My wife has that bookshelf in her classroom full of fifth-graders. Treat the Sapele a little like maple, very little water, less heat than rosewood. |

I second that emotion! Bruce sent me some of that fine wood too. I cannot wait until someone picks it and I can work with it! |
